Shareware: Trumpet Winsock and each of the other programs in the standard MaineStreet package are called shareware programs. The term shareware refers to software that can be used and tested before buying it. MaineStreet highly recommends each of its users register their copies of the shareware programs. Information about how to do this is located on the opening screens of the programs or in the readme.txt files located in each program's individual directories. Check the Installation If you haven't yet finished installing the disks, please finish the installation before going on with these instructions. If you had one of our technicians install the software or if you followed the standard instructions for downloading and installing the MaineStreet software, you will have a program group called Internet in Program Manager. Turn on your computer, your modem (if external), and your printer. Enter Windows. Open the Internet program group by double clicking on it or by click on it once and hitting your enter key on the keyboard. The program group will open up, showing you the programs contained in it. These programs are: Trumpet, Ewan, Eudora, FTP, Winvn, Netscape and an icon for editing your login script in Trumpet. Double click on the Trumpet icon. The next screen is the Trumpet program. If everything is working properly you will see a window that looks like this: (Your screen may look a little different; this image was taken from Windows 95). Go on to Logging on to the Internet.
