Accounting Configuration Handbook |
Occasionally you will come across a Web site which is simply too large to read all in one sitting. When this happens there are a few different ways to deal with it. One method is to save the document you are viewing to your hard drive. To do this choose Save from the File menu. When you save it to the hard drive you will save ONLY the text which it contains. The graphics which you see on the screen are seperate documents which are called up when someone views that document with a graphical browser such as Netscape. If the graphics are important to you, please see "Printing a Web Site". When you save a site to the hard drive you are given options of which format to save it in. Choose the format you want, choose the directory you want it in, click on OK and presto the document now resides on your machine.
Printing a Web Site If you want to print out the document you are viewing, complete with graphics and in color (providing you have a color printer) simply choose the File menu and the Print option.
Viewing what an HTML Document Really Looks Like While viewing a Web site click on the View menu and then on Source. What you will see is a very boring looking text-only document with a whole lot of funny-looking codes. If you are trying to create your own Web site, this is an excellent way to see how someone has already done it. Go on to Not Quite Right and Going/Been.
