Accounting Configuration Handbook |
Eudora will contact the mail server at MaineStreet and will collect and bring your mail to your computer. It will display a message telling you if you have new mail. If you have no new mail Eudora will simply cycle through a few windows and shut down the connection to the mail server. Your new mail will be in your "In" mailbox ready for you to read it. New messages have a bullet in the left column; double click on the line that shows the message, and it opens up for you to read. When you're finished with message double-click on the minus sign in the upper corner of the message window; when it closes it will return you to the "In" mailbox. You can disconnect from MaineStreet while you read and write replies to your new mail. Open the mailbox where your mail is stored. For new mail, this will be the "In" mailbox, but these procedures apply to all mailboxes, e.g. Out, Trash, or personal mailboxes. New messages have a bullet in the left column; double click on the line that shows the message, and it opens up for you to read. When you're finished with message double-click on the minus sign in the upper corner of the message window; when it closes it will return you to the mailbox where you started. You can also delete the message or transfer it to another box. If you go back to the "In" mailbox you can go on to your next new message.
Open the message you want to print. Click once on File on the menu bar and once on the "Print" option. Make sure your printer is switched on and is loaded with paper. Click on [OK] and your message will be printed.
Eudora comes with three mailboxes: "In," "Out" and "Trash". All of your new messages will be first displayed in the "In Box". A copy of each message you send will be kept in the "Out Box." When you delete (Trash) a message it is stored in the "Trash Box" until you empty the trash. Please see the section "Overview of the Special Menu". Eudora also lets you create your own personal mailboxes. Click on the word Mailbox on the menu bar and click once on the New option to create seperate mailboxes for storing your messages. You can also create a "Folder," a container which stores a group of mailboxes or folders. Go on to Overview of the "Message" Menu.
