| Configuring Trumpet for Dynamic SLIP |
You need to have a login script configured for Trumpet. Copy the one below the image
or download a copy, and make the changes to your
Modem Init String, Userid and Password in the appropriate
locations. Save the script as dslip.cmd, in your c:\trumpet directory,
then login using dslip.cmd.
- Start Trumpet
- Go to File Setup
- Set IP Address to 0.0.0.0
- Set Netmask to 255.255.255.0
- Set Nameserver to 204.176.0.13 204.176.0.15 (**NOTE** Space between 13 and 204)
- Set Default Gateway to 204.176.0.1
- Set TimeServer to 204.176.0.13
- Set Domain Suffix to maine.com
- Set Packet Vector to 60
- Set MTU to 1500
- Set TCP RWIN to 9000
- Set TCPMSS to 1460
- Internal SLIP should be checked
- Hardware Handshake should be checked
- DCD (RLSD) should be checked
- Click on "Ok", then "Ok" for the message that will appear, then exit Trumpet
